Dr. Theresa M. Nemeth, O.D.

Dr. Nemeth attended the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio studying Chemical Engineering and Pre-Optometry and attended The OSU College of Optometry in Columbus, Ohio where she received the degree of Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) in 1985. After graduation, Dr. Nemeth was a clinical instructor at the OSU College of Optometry in the General, Pediatric and Binocular Vision Clinics. In 1987, Dr. Nemeth moved to Toledo, Ohio to her current location. Dr. Nemeth is a member of the Toledo Area Optometric Society, a member of the American Optometric Association and the Ohio Optometric Association where she has been active and chair of the Vision Performance Committee and a member of the Quality Assurance Committee. Dr. Nemeth continued with her affiliation at the OSU College of Optometry through her being on the Dean’s Panel on Patient Care and Practice Management as a part time clinical instructor. She is a member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, a member of the Optometric Extension Program, and a member of the Toledo Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Nemeth has been a vision consultant to many of the schools in the Toledo area and frequently does presentations for educators, school nurses, PTA’s, Psychological Association and Occupational and Physical Therapy Affiliations, etc. Dr. Nemeth has been a board member of the Eye Center of Toledo, a member of the Owens Community College Optometric/Ophthalmic Technology Advisory Board, and a board member of The Sight Center of Toledo where she was active on several committees. Dr. Nemeth also participates with Vision USA, Holiday 20/20, InfantSEE, and Sight for Students through VSP.
